Merlin Mann, of 43 Folders fame, recently gave a talk at Google about Inbox Zero. Dealing with the deluge of email, personal and professional, is a topic near and dear to my heart. It’s nice to see a company that’s taking an interest in helping their employees with this. A video of the talk is embedded below. If you want the slides, you can grab them here [PDF].

productivity, pzizz, shame
I am horrible about starting a new (good) habit. In the two weeks since getting pzizz, I’ve only managed naps on three days. On those days, though, I definitely felt much more mentally alert and found it a lot easier to deal with my ADD. I really need to find a way to work this into my daily routine on a more consistent basis. Unfortunately, I have a hard time turning down lunch with my friends/co-workers to give myself time for a quick snooze.

I’m going to start an experiment tomorrow. I’ve purchased pzizz, and I’m going to give daily energizing (read: napping) a try. After hearing Merlin Mann (of 43 Folders) extol its virtues and years of counting myself among the under-rested, I’m ready to throw down with some hardcore power napping.
If you decide to pick up pzizz for yourself, use the coupon code “TWIT” to save yourself 25% and throw a little support Leo Laporte’s way. You do listen to the TWiT pod/netcasts, don’t you?
